Children living in Buckner residential care and foster care may never know what it's like to go on a hike, sit around a campfire or climb the ropes course if they aren't given the opportunity to attend summer camp. Each year, Buckner sends dozens of at-risk children to experience God's love in the Texas Hill Country. But they can only go with your help. Consider supporting a child's camp experience through the Christopher Tom Stacy Campership Fund. Your support could make a world of difference in a child's life.

Camp Buckner implemented a Campership (financial assistance) ministry to help deserving children pay for camp who would otherwise not have the opportunity. Due to the generosity of our donors, hundreds of children have received assistance.
The goal of the Campership ministry is to leverage a finite amount of funds so that the maximum number of children may receive help. Parents and legal guardians of children seeking assistance are encouraged to do all they can to pay for as much of the camping experience possible. Financial counseling is available to each family to help them fulfill this goal. It is expected that every family who benefits from a summer camping experience should make some investment, with very few exceptions.
Since the summer of 2000, more than 350 children have received some form of financial assistance. These children came from foster families, children’s homes, adoptive families and families with financial struggles.
An anonymous team considers each application and makes decisions based on the availability of funds. The deadline for applications is March 15 with decisions finalized by May 15. The cost to support a full Campership is $625. Donors are welcome to make gifts of any size, and every cent goes directly to help a specific child attend camp, with nothing being held out for administrative or fund raising costs. All gifts through the Campership program are eligible to receive the maximum income tax deduction allowed by law.
