• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have completed a minimum of one semester in college (equivalent college hours by a senior in high school is not acceptable).
• Have a love for Christ and a desire to serve people.
• Possess a commitment to Christian principles and teachings both professionally and personally.
• Possess the knowledge and ability to communicate truths of Jesus Christ as presented in God's Word to individuals and large groups.
• Have an interest and enthusiasm in changing lives through selfless service and ministry.
• Have sufficient good health to properly perform all duties.
• Be able to work under pressure and remain flexible as priorities change.
• Be able to monitor guests and care for guests' needs while on duty.
• Be able to communicate clearly with staff members and guests in face-to-face interactions.
• Have the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff members and camp guests.
• Have the ability to work with minimal supervision and exercise good judgment.
• Have completed the mandatory staff certification and training prior to the first week of camp.

Intern Pay Rate
$180 per week during Camp
$75 a week for staff training and certification weeks

Session 1	June 6 – July 11
Session 2	July 11 – August 13
FULL SUMMER	June 6-August 13

Certification/Staff Training
All counselors are required to attend a paid training  prior to the opening day of camp. Certification/Staff Training (MANDATORY) is May 23-June 5, 2008.

During this week, Camp Buckner will pay for certification courses in lifeguard training, first aid and CPR, archery and Ropes Challenge Course for interns that do not already hold certification in these areas.
