Meet the Camp Buckner Staff
We are so excited about seeing you and your children here for Summer Camp! Our camp family has been working hard to make this summer a special experience for campers.

Thanks for the privilege and opportunity to serve you and your children. Feel free to contact us anytime to share your ideas and comments on how we can continue to improve our service to you. Keep on!

Chad Patterson
The Patterson family moved to Camp Buckner in November 2004 after Chad's 13 years of serving in public education. Chad and his wife Liz, are blessed with five children, and love the opportunity to serve through the ministries of Camp Buckner. Chad is a graduate of Conroe High School, and earned his BBA at Baylor University. He received his Masters in Counseling from Sam Houston State University. "It's a joy and privilege to serve the Lord here at Camp Buckner."

Peggy Poston
Peggy is the Camp Registrar/Interim Retreats Director and has been at camp since it began in 1987. She has held various positions, including food service director and retreat director. Her hubby is Don, who is retired and spends lots of time hunting and fishing. They have grown children and lots of grandchildren who live in Texas, North Carolina and Florida.

Peggy says she loves talking with “camper moms.” On opening day, when the cars are all lined up to drive in, she has the urge to run from car to car and say, “Who do I know in this car?”

Rose and Charlie Hill
Charlie has worked for Buckner since 1990 and is the food service director. Rose has worked at camp for four years as the housekeeping director. Charlie and Rose have three children and two grandchildren. They love to spend time with each other fishing.

Charlie is often confused with Santa Claus, so you might see him wearing a slightly different uniform this summer.

Jerry Ratliff
Known as Mr. Camp Buckner, Jerry has been on staff since 1987 and serves as director of operations. His handiwork can be seen the minute you arrive at camp, since he constructed all of our facilities.

Jerry has been married to his wife, Tami, for 24 years and has three children—Chelsea, 23; Lindsey, 20; and Hunter, 16. The Ratliff family loves trips to Mexico, or any place where there is good hunting or fishing.
